Letting go

The first step to getting what you want, is to get rid of what you don't need. 

Likewise, if you want to be surrounded by negative, goal oriented and productive people, then you must be ready to get rid of negative and toxic people, no matter how much you desire to keep them in your life.

The same also applies to the Deen, if you want Allah to grant you that which is halal, be it a spouse or job and you want to be able to see the beauty of Islam, then you must be ready to leave and get rid of that which is haram, no matter how much you love it.

For good and bad can never survive in the same place and at the same time. It's either good or bad, and not both.
