Likewise, no great writer today became great by attending or registering for writing classes or workshops, BE IT FREE OR PAID. They became great writers by implementing and acting on all they have been taught.
Dear writers, especially the budding writers, greatness will not approach you if you keep waiting for free things to come your way. There's no crime in registering for free classes, but investing in your knowledge by paying for it is crucial. You don't have to register for 30k, 50k or 100k classes. No! Start small with what you can afford. There are many virtual writing mentorship programs that are worth 3k, 5k, 10k, and radiate more value than some writing workshops that charge 20k above. So, go for them!
However, remember that just like a child will become responsible through his parents' upbringing, until he has implemented all he was taught. Likewise, as a writer, you may register for all the writing workshops or classes that comes your way. But if you do not implement whatever you have been taught, and act on every advice and tip, then you will never grow or move an inch from where you are right now.
