BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE BY SAKEENAH'WRITES

"BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE" BY SAKEENAH'WRITES:

Dear finalists, I am immensely proud of you all for reaching this significant milestone. Your dedication, sacrifices, and hard work are about to pay off, and I eagerly await the day when the world shall celebrate you for your achievements. As you savor your last moments as students of Lagos State University, I know that at this stage of your life, no one can stop you from enjoying your freedom.

You're free to express your fashion sense, party all night, indulge in whatever piques your interest, and live life to the fullest–it's your time. However, amidst the festivities, merrymaking, mingling, never forget that the material possessions of today and tomorrow are fleeting, remember that everything in life is vanity, even the next few minutes is not certain for any of us, because death shows no discrimination.

Remember that life is uncertain, and you will account for all you did, said and ate today, and all through your life. Remember that, one day, you will recount your youth to your children and descendants and you will share your story with them. When that time comes, what kind of story do you want to share with them? How do you want to share your youthful story with them? What message or lesson do you want to pass to them?

How do you want them to feel after listening to your story? These are questions only you can answer. Dear finalists, beyond your undergraduate days lies the Day of Judgment. A day when mercy, and support will be absent, and there will be no room for repentance. A day when the passage of time will be distorted, a day when one hour will look like a day, a day like a month, a month like a year, etc., and believe me you really do not want to imagine how that day is going to be,

because whether you and I like it or not, many of us, especially the FEMALE GENDER, will be THROWN into the FIRE of HELL, but only those who sticked to the sunnah, hadith, and teachings of the Qur'an will be saved from the blazing fire of hell. The heat of the sun pales in comparison to the flames of hell. If you and I cannot stand the heat of the sun, especially the kind of heat that the sun has been emitting lately, what makes you and I think that we can stand or even endure one quarter of the fire of hell.

So, my dear finalists, I want you to take a moment to reflect. Will you be able to confidently justify your actions before Allah after you die? Will you stand unburdened by His wrath for yielding to peer pressure, ignorance, or immoral desires? These questions demand your contemplation, for the next few minutes may be too late for you to atone for all you have done or turn back to Allah.
