WHY EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE THE RIGHT TO OWN A GUN

ABC SPEAKS ASSIGNMENT ON "WHY EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE THE RIGHT TO HOLD A GUN," BY SAKEENAH'WRITES:

Daniel Boone(late), a former American pioneer and frontiersman said, "All you need for happiness is a good gun, a good horse, and a good wife." Very funny but true.

In a world where physical appearance alone is not enough to differentiate between a criminal and a victim, in a world where even your own neighbors are fervently hatching plans to assassinate you, in a world where even the law enforcement agencies themselves who are meant to serve as good examples to citizens are now the major sources of bane in almost every environment we find ourselves today, and a society where, the weak and disabled are being talked for granted, the right to own a gun, not necessarily to kill or use, but to threaten or scare as a means of security is very pivotal and should be legalized.

Yes, I know you are going to say that the right of every individual to own a gun even if it's just for threatening sake will lead to destruction and blood shed as a result of taking advantage of the privilege to own one, yes, but it is also undisputable that bloodshed, evil, rape, child trafficking and many other heinous crimes still thrive earnestly in the corrupt society we find ourselves today.

It is even more pathetic that before the police or security agencies interfere, all harm may have been done to the victim, and even after interfering, most times, it takes a decade for them to unravel a case or even compensate a victim for a loss, talk more of putting the culprits behind bars.

So, what then are we saying. But maybe, if we all had guns, then young girls won't be raped, university students won't be taken advantage of by lecturers, kidnappers won't easily go scot-free, families won't be robbed of their fortune, many other related may not be as escalating as they are today.

Yes, undeniably God is the one who guides and protect, but we also have to make efforts, and if owning a gun is the only way our security can be guaranteed to an extent and our innocent girls won't have to be forcefully deflowered, then I don't see any reason why we should be deprived of the right to own a gun, especially in the low rate security society we find ourselves in today.

If holding an owning a gun now become legalized, it's then left for the government and security agencies to see earnestly to it that citizens, especially the youths do not take advantage of it or go against the rules that guide it's ownership.
