SAKEENAH'WRITES WRITING NUGGETS 003

SAKEENAH'WRITES WRITING NUGGETS 003(THERE'S NO EXCUSE FOR NOT WRITING):

Coach: ....I did not see write up on the platform today. What happened?

Student: Maaaaa, that topic is somehow, like it's not my niche and it doesn't interest me. That's why I didn't write any content today.

Dear writers, just like not every subject or course in school interests you, but you still have to compel yourself to READ it, because you know that if you don't read it, then you won't get an A in that course, or you may carry it over.

Just like not every lecturer is interesting to listen to and not every teacher possesses effective communication skills, but you still have to get to class early and listen to the boring lectures, even if it's a PRETENCE, because you know that your attendance is part of your assessment and if you don't have at least 50% attendance in class, then you may have to carry over that course or may not graduate if you take things for granted.

Likewise, as a writer who really wants to grow in the field of writing, your lack of interest in a topic or writing prompt IS NOT AN EXCUSE FOR YOU NOT TO WRITE! Yes, I concur that most times you need to be passionate about what you want to write about but as a writer in order to deliver effective contents,

but writing outside your niche and writing on topics that are not related to your area of specialization, does not only BROADEN YOUR HORIZON, but also INCREASES YOUR SPEED, SELF CONFIDENCE AND FLUENCY AS WRITER, AND IT MAKES YOU A BETTER WRITER IN GENERAL.

The only time you can choose not to write on a particular topic is when it negates the teachings of your religion, or the topic is going to promote negativity or immorality rather than speaking against it. Anything aside this, then you have no excuse for not writing,

You said you want to become a professional writer, but if you keep giving these baseless excuses, HOW WILL YOU GROW! There are no PERFECT WRITERS, ONLY GREAT WRITERS! So, if you want to be a great writer, then please stop giving excuses and start writing.
